Ofitres, an ALVIC Group company, receives the Red Dot Award 2025 for its BIMUS modular system for decorative and acoustic panelling solutions.
28 July 2025
Ofitres, international manufacturer of design furniture for office, collective, and residential spaces, has been awarded the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025 for BIMU, its modular system for flexible and adaptive workspace division.
BIMU, developed in collaboration with the creative studio FAT·IRON, represents a new approach to workspace design — combining lightness, adaptability, and compositional freedom. With tool-free assembly and a wide range of accessories, BIMU transforms open spaces into customized areas for focus, collaboration, relaxation, or reception.
Its success in the Red Dot Award, one of the most prestigious global recognitions in industrial design, highlights the product’s excellence in innovation, usability, and construction quality. The international jury —composed of 43 experts from 21 countries— reviewed over 6,000 entries from more than 60 nations before selecting the 2025 winners.
As part of Grupo ALVIC, Ofitres shares a strong commitment to design, technology, and sustainability. The group’s values —continuous innovation, manufacturing excellence, and environmental responsibility— are clearly embodied in BIMU and give further meaning to this award.

BIMU is available in four modular sizes (2×2 m, 3×3 m, 2×1 m, and 3×1 m), all sharing a common width that enables aesthetic and functional coherence across configurations. Upholstered panels, whiteboards, wooden or cork boards, acoustic panels, slats, and roll-up screens can all be mounted tool-free.
Outdoor installations are also supported, with weather-resistant finishes and accessories that preserve BIMU’s visual identity.
Additionally, BIMU integrates smart accessories —such as articulated lighting arms and mobile elements— that boost flexibility while avoiding complex installations.
Now available in pCon.planner, BIMU supports digital planning and integration for architects, designers, and specifiers, reinforcing Ofitres’ ongoing commitment to innovation and digital design tools.
This Red Dot Award marks a milestone for Ofitres and reflects its core mission: to create workspace solutions that combine functionality, beauty, and user well-being in modern working environments.
